Marta Estrems
featured artist Argentian artist Marta Estrems, one of the leading Latin American Abstractionists, imbues her ethereal and often enigmatic canvasses with a powerful repertoire of emotional depth, kinetic energy and visual imagery, evoking complex connotations within deeper layers of the viewers' intuitive perception.
Her work is a form of meditation, an invitation to quiet the noise of the external world and to slow down to access the deeper layers of the self and human interconnectedness.
Marta Estrems' paintings seek to visualize the human capacity to connect with nature and each other, focussing on the inexpressible, the intangible, and the immaterial, with her abstract canvasses forming a bridge between our inner and outer world experiences.
Marta Estrems (born in 1949 in Rosario, Santa Fe, Argentina) received most of her professional training in Buenos Aires and initially pursued studies at the Manuel Belgrano National School of Fine Arts, where she obtained a degree in teaching visual arts. She later studied in the Master of fine arts program, majoring in drawing, painting, and sculpture at the Prilidiano Pueryrredon National School of Fine Arts. She moved to the United States in 1987 and lives and works in Miami.
Throughout her career, Estrems has participated in more than twenty exhibitions in Argentina, Italy, Spain, and the United States. Her work has been shown in cultural institutions such as PIAG Museum (Coral Gables, FL), Armory Art Center (West Palm Beach, FL), the Alvin Sherman Library (Nova Southeastern University, Fort Lauderdale), and the Latino Art Museum (Pomona, CA) among others. Her most recent solo exhibition includes “Containment: The Tao of Aesthetics” (Arch Gallery, Miami, 2012) and “Painting and Drawings by Marta Estrems” (Miami Beach Botanical Garden, 2008). -

Carlos LlanesBorn May 18th, 1956 in Melena del Sur, Cuba.
In 1981 he graduated from the University of Havana with a degree in architecture.
His diagnosis of a brain tumor led him to immigrate to the United States to seek treatment, shifting his focus to themes of family, immigration and cultural identity.
He has participated in more than 100 solo and group exhibitions in Cuba, Italy, Sweden and the United States. His work is part of the permanent collection at the National Museum of Fine Arts in Havana and he is recognized as one of the most important Cuban painters of his generation. -
Ruben Rodriguez Martinez - The power of simplicity
In his forty-year career, Rubén Rodríguez Martinez has carried out over thirty solo exhibitions and has participated in more than a hundred group shows in Cuba and abroad.
In 2007 he was awarded the Distinction for National Culture, in recognition of his pictorial work and the excellence of his graphic work, to which are added long years dedicated to teaching, training generations of artists and engravers at the Higher Institute of Art (ISA), as well as in the "René Portocarrero" Experimental Screen Printing Workshop in Havana

Rigoberto Mena (b. 1961, Artemisa, Cuba)
Rigoberto Mena is known as one of Cuba’s most famous art visionaries. His style has been described as an intellectual process in which he explores space and depth while grounding his vision in architectural elements. With the eye of an architect and the hand of an abstract expressionist, Mena is able to take the hard edges of urban Landscapes and turn them into a fluid visual language.
Rigoberto Mena has had Solo Exhibitions in China, Germany, Netherlands, Mexico, Cuba, Spain, France, and Holland, and in the U.S. in Miami, Massachusetts, Washington, D.C, and California. Following the inauguration of his exhibition “Hablando en Lenguas”. In 2011, Rigoberto’s work was chosen to be a part of the permanent collection of the National Museum of Fine Art in Havana, Cuba. His artwork is also shown in the collection of the Museum of Latin American Art, Los Angeles (MOLAA), USA, Consejo Nacional de las Artes Plasticas, La Habana, Cuba and Centro de arte Contemporaneo Wifredo Lam, La Habana, Cuba. -
Jorge Luis Santos
(b. 1973, Quivicán, Cuba)Jorge Luis Santos creates visceral, abstract works on a monumental scale. Throughout his long and celebrated career, he has continued to experiment––in material (in addition to acrylic, he has worked in oil, mixed media, found objects, iron, and wood); in form (painting, sculpture, and installation); in palette; and in process - using a brush taped to a long pole, a palette knife, his hands, and the sole of his shoe as mark-making tools. Jorge Luis Santos has exhibited his work extensively in solo and group exhibitions at institutions, galleries and art fairs internationally since 1994. His work has been written about and discussed by prominent Cuban scholars and critics (including Rafael Acosta de Arriba, Elivia Rosa Castro, Nelson Herrera Ysla, amongst others) are represented in the collections of major institutions (Perez Art Museum Miami, Museum of Cuban Art Vienna)

Mexican artist: Dalia Monroy
Just as Rimbaud showed us the chromatic range of vowels in poetry, Dalia Monroy lets us hear the musical intensity of colors through her painting.In her paintings, color and shape are integrated little by little, in a rhythmic way, until the delicate visual geometries explode into suggestive melodies, with a soft, lilting and precise rhythm: the voluptuous rhythm of the danzón . Without needing to use the descriptive capacity of the figure. Dalia Monroy uses the expressive forcefulness of the materials with which she works to create colorful atmospheres, full of texture and relief, which make us evoke the intoxicating seduction of the tropics, the night the warm embrace at the center of a track of dance. Dalia Monroy's work is always fresh invention, constant novation of the symbols of a reflected world transcended by its most elemental forms; kaleidoscope in whose designs it is possible to guess any aspect of our experience: passion, love, dreams and the memory of landscapes, architectures and known beings. Dalia paints with the same emotion with which the first men began to name things. This artist knows that to evoke a bird you have to name it by its colors and its song; that is why her painting, like the world, is inhabited by lights and sounds.
